Merry Christmas from the Vooks team

Just a quick note from us this year, weve got games to play!

My fellow Vooksians, 2009 has been a very up and down year, but we’re not going to gloom up your Christmas with any downs. As it’s Christmas Eve it means that there is absolutely no news around, so this will most likely be our last report until the Christmas dust clears. We’ll still be here if anything breaks, but we’d just like to say thanks for reading and visiting this year, and 2010 is going to be even bigger.

In the short term we have a ton things kicking off from next week. The Vooks (GOTY) Awards, Forums Awards, a full recap of the year, a look at next year, and a very special article. More on that later. The community is also holding its annual Movie of the Year awards, so get on that too.

Long term, 2010 is looking up for Vooks, with tons of new and exciting things planned and in development. We normally don’t give too much away and today is no exception, but here is a short list of some of what’s planned.

– Refreshed site design, just a spruce here and there with some cool options to make it look how you want, so you can get the most out of Vooks.

– New forum design, which is already in testing and available to use, if you know where to look

– Increased review coverage for downloadable titles

– Vooks iPhone/iPod Touch application to get your news on the run. For non-iPhone users a mobile site is coming as well.

– More competitions, in fact there is even one starting next week.

So that’s it from us, thanks again for reading and visiting our site, 2010 will be huge for Vooks. It is after all our tenth year, so it’ll be big.
