Zero has been resurrected
After a teensy little leak yesterday, it’s official: Mega Man Zero is coming to Switch. And it’s bringing some friends.
Capcom has announced today that the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will be releasing on the Switch (as well as PS4, Xbox One, and Steam) on the 21st of January 2020. The collection will feature the following games:
The Zero series originally released on the Game Boy Advance between 2002 and 2005, and featured Zero — a fan favourite character from the Mega Man X series — as the playable hero, hundreds of years after the events of the X games. ZX and ZX Advent originally released on the Nintendo DS, and each feature two playable protagonists with the ability to merge with the Biometal Models X and Z, to form a powerful hunter and take down the returning Mavericks.
The collection features a few new features, such as an easier game mode in every game called Casual Scenario Mode, designed for players who care more about the story than getting their butts kicked. Each game also has access to a feature called Save-Assist, which gives you access to a save point in the middle of a mission — just in case. ZX and ZX Advent also feature a tonne of different screen layouts and control options, because the DS has one too many screens.
In case that wasn’t enough, players can take a break from the action with the in-game gallery, featuring over 600 pieces of production artwork from the series. Or maybe check out the music player, which features every song from every game, right at your finger tips. Capcom has even teased a mysterious new competitive game mode called Z Chaser, but we’ll have to wait a little longer for more details on that.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is currently scheduled to launch on the Nintendo eShop on the 21st of January 2020. It will also receive a retail release, but only in North America.
Makes sense to us.
It's Black, Back Again.
