Mario Tennis Aces 2.0 adds four new characters and a co-op challenge mode
If you ever wanted to play tennis as a giant piranha plant, now’s your chance.
During this morning’s Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced that a new update to Mario Tennis Aces, version 2.0, will be releasing next week, on the 19th of September. The new update adds four new characters to the roster: Birdo, Petey Piranha, Shy Guy, and Koopa Paratrooper. These characters will be available to unlock by playing online sometime after the update goes live.
Tennis Aces will also be receiving a new online co-op challenge mode, which lets you team up with others in limited-time missions to earn cool new outfits, characters with alternate colour schemes, and more. Mario Tennis Aces will continue to receive new content up until June next year, so there’s plenty more where this came from. You can watch the trailer below.
