Mario Sports Superstars is a team effort between Camelot and Bandai Namco
Just when you thought the Nintendo 3DS was dead, Nintendo come out with a pile of brand new games for it in last weeks Direct.
One of those games was Mario Sports Superstars, a compilation of sports games on the one card – Tennis, Golf, Soccer, Baseball and Horse Racing. Today we’ve learned that the game is a team effort with two developers behind the game.
The Australian Classification Board has published a listing for the game with both Camelot and Bandai Namco games listed as the games developers. Nintendo is of course publishing.
MARIO SPORTS SUPERSTARS, Computer Games, Multi Platform, Rating: G, Author: CAMELOT AND BANDAI NAMCO STUDIOS, Publisher: NINTENDO CO., LTD.,

Camelot already have pedigree in the development in both Tennis and Golf games featuring Mario so we’re sure they’re making those parts, but it’s again refreshing to see Nintendo working with Bandai Namco once again.
We do have to wonder though, just how much, if any of the Tennis and Golf parts of recycled or re-used from Mario Tennis Open and Mario Golf World Tour.
Before you ask as well, that ‘Multi Platform’ part of the listing – just ignore it. Pretty much every game is listed as that on the website. So no Wii U or NX ports on the way.
Mario Sports Superstars is out in 2017.
