Nintendo of America has announced the release date for Mario Sports Superstars on the Nintendo 3DS, it’ll be out on March 24th.

For a limited time, at least in America the game will come with one amiibo card packed in. That’s a new series of Mario Sports Superstars amiibo cards. You’ll be able to buy the rest, if you wish, in blind packs. Nintendo hasn’t said how many cards in total there will be.

Nintendo says “By tapping one of these new amiibo character cards while playing Mario Sports Superstars, players will get a variety of fun bonuses”. Mario Sports Superstars features five “full-featured” sports including Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Baseball and Horse Racing.

When we get an Australia release date we’ll let you know. Will you be collecting these new amiibo cards or just looking forward to the game?
