Mario Party 2 headed to Virtual Console
Strangely the first one is getting skipped.
Nintendo 64 games are few and far between on the Virtual Console with only a handful of games having been released on the system since launch. However Nintendo hasnt killed off Nintendo 64 games completely with Nintendo of Europe announcing that Mario Party 2 will be released on the service some time before the end of the year.
Before you ask, yes, that is Mario Party 2. Nintendo has seen fit to skip over the first game, for what reasons are uncertain but it could have something to do with those god-awful “twirl the analogue stick as much as you can over and over” minigames. The pain inflicted upon untold millions of people will never be comprehended.
Also on the way in Q4 for Virtual Console is Street Hoop from the Neo Geo and Faxanadu from the NES. See, not completely dead.
