Mario Kart speeds into VR with Mario Kart Arcade GP VR

For those who are lucky enough to have lived near an arcade in recent years, you might be familiar with the Mario Kart Arcade GP series of games. These put you in the driver’s seat of the signature karts with an actual steering wheel controller, and featured guest stars from series like Pac-Man and Tamagotchi. Bandai-Namco are developing a new installment in the series for their VR Arcades in Japan titled Mario Kart Arcade GP VR, and have released a sort of proof-of-concept teaser.

Getting up close and personal with the characters and locations of the Mario world would be a lot of fun, so hopefully this somehow makes its way outside of Japan.
