Mario Kart themed Hot Wheels sets on the way

Nintendo and Hot Wheels are teaming to bring a Mario Kart hot wheels set to stores. The karts are all die-cast and there’s a whole track featuring Thwomps and Piranha Plants as well.

At first Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Bowser will be available, wit Prince Peach, Koopa Troopa and Toad to follow. The karts will be compatible with existing Hot Wheels sets as well.

This is what will be available;

• Hot Wheels Mario Kart Track Set Course-Inspired Assortments:
  • Piranha Plant Slide Track Set
  • Thwomp Ruins Track Set
• Hot Wheels Mario Kart Circuit Track Set

Nintendo says the sets will be available starting “Summer” worldwide, which is right about now.
