Mario Kart 8 folder and bookmark set added to Club Nintendo Stars Catalogue

So we might be losing Club Nintendo this year, but we’re still getting a trickle down of prizes to claim in the Stars Catalogue. The latest being a Mario Kart 8 folder and bookmark set, which will set you back 800 stars.
Be sure to hunt for all your unredeemed Club Nintendo cards, because starting from now, they won’t come in any new releases! And also of note, the Super Mario 3D World and Kirby Triple Deluxe soundtracks are also gone from the Stars Catalogue, so I hope you got them in time!

*yawn*
I spent a few hours the other day finally getting around to registering *all* of my Club Nintendo cards and filling out surveys for my eShop purchases. I’m left with about 14000 stars. Quite a few of the codes had already expired though. 🙁 (I assumed that the codes for Wii U and 3DS games expired 5 years after their release date like the codes in the standard folded cardboard cards that are included in Nintendo published games, but it turns out I was wrong). I held onto all of my codes for all this time because the stars expire after about 18 or so months anyway, and I didn’t want them to go to waste seeing as Nintendo offered so little that was worthwhile.
Hopefully Nintendo will offer some more sweet goodies in the months to come. I’m still holding out for something a little more substantial than the stuff that’s in the store now. The SNES Classic Controller maybe? The Gold Nunchuk? Maybe the Gold and Silver Mario amiibos?
