Early this morning Nintendo released some new information on the upcoming 3DS title Mario Golf: World Tour.

The news focused on a new single player mode called Castle Club. In Castle Club you take control of your Mii character instead of one of the usual players from the Mario lineup. Along with a training facility, designed to help you improve and fine tune the different aspects of your game, you can compete in tournaments against computer controlled characters.

Similar to Mario Tennis, once you win one tournament you unlock and enter into higher class events. To help give you an edge on the competition in Castle Club, different aspects of your Mii can be customised. From things such as clothing, clubs, balls and shoes, depending on the different combinations you choose, changes will be applied to different abilities, including shot properties, distance and ball control.

Mario Golf: World Tour is currently scheduled for release in Australia on May 3rd 2014.

Video games are not my forte. I'm not very good at video games. If you walked up to me in the streets and exclaimed “Hey! You suck at video games!” I would not call you a liar. They are, however, one of my favourite things and classic Nintendo titles are what I like best. Sure I haven't finished New Super Mario Bros. U yet and I've had the game since launch, but that doesn't mean I don't get the same fuzzy feelings as you when I play it.
