Mario and Mercedes-Benz Japan team up for DLC and commercials

Satoru Iwata previously announced Nintendo would be licensing out their IP to companies in the future and looks like this is the first.

Mercedes Japan has a new commercial starring a ‘real life’ Mario driving a new Mercedes-Benz GLA. It’s a mix of game footage and this weird creepy looking Mario who steps out of the car.

Not only that but the a Mercedes-Benz kart will be added to the game via download at a later date. There will also be a special Mercedes tournament as well – these two events are likely to be for Japan only but at least we know the game can support downloadable content.
