There's probably already fan art for it.
And so the Pokémon news cycle starts again. This morning on Japan’s Pokémon variety show Pokénchi, Pokémon Sun and Moon director Shigeru Ohmori revealed that in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, rock-type Pokémon Lycanroc would be getting a brand new form. We got a small glimpse at this earlier in the week, when this month’s cover to Corocoro, a magazine known to fans in the West for regularly having information on new Pokémon games, leaked onto the internet prior to launch.
After the reveal on Pokénchi, the official website updated with a brief description of the new form, officially called Dusk Form in the West:
Dusk Form Lycanroc will bare its fangs in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon.
It’s been confirmed that a new form of Lycanroc appears in the world of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon—Dusk Form. The colors of Dusk Form Lycanroc’s body and eyes differ from those of previously discovered Lycanroc, Midday Form and Midnight Form.
You can’t get Dusk Form Lycanroc on your team by ordinary methods, such as discovering the mysterious Pokémon in the wild.
So check back soon for news on how you can get Dusk Form Lycanroc, along with more details on the upcoming Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon games.
If past news cycles are anything to go by, this is likely the first of many announcements to come for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in the coming months, though it’s worth keeping in mind that this is an enhanced version of Sun and Moon and not a new generation, so don’t expect anything too crazy. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon are set to launch on the Nintendo 3DS on the 17th of November worldwide.
