Looks like YouTube is coming to the Nintendo Switch this week
It would appear that a YouTube app is finally coming to the Nintendo Switch this week. Now while we usually don’t bother posting these kinds of unconfirmed news, there’s just no way it’s not happening now.
Late Saturday night tweets appeared with people seeing YouTube in the “You might also like…” recommendations on Nintendo.com. While these could easily be faked using web developer tools or even photoshop, multiple people have claimed to have seen it.
❓Rumeur – L’application YouTube devrait arriver prochainement sur Nintendo Switch, plus précisément le 8 novembre si on en croit le site de Nintendo America. pic.twitter.com/NgvBhDJu1G

So why does this rumour have any credence? Because something like this has been leaked before. After the delay of the last Nintendo Direct, a listing for Yoshi’s Crafted World appeared on Nintendo.com in the same area. At that time the game was just known as Yoshi. The name was confirmed in the Direct a week later.
With the release date of November 8th, it also puts it exactly 365 days after the release of Hulu on the Switch. That was released on November 7th, 2017. It’s possible that Hulu had bought or been given a year’s exclusivity on the Switch, that’s just our thoughts – but the timing can’t be a coincidence.
Bonus evidence, Nintendo has removed the ‘You may also like…’ section from game listings on their website as of Sunday morning.
Conclusion: Either YouTube will be on the Switch in 4 days or…
That’s cool, I really want to be able to use my Switch as a bit more of an entertainment device. If it had YouTube, Twitch and an ebook reader, and a usable web browser, that’d probably be everything non-game related I’d want on my Switch.
