Level 5 are one of Japan’s highest rated developers, with series that span multiple platforms and genres and now it looks like Nintendo Switch is in their sites. In an interview with Nikkei Trendy, Level 5’s CEO Akihiro Hino noted that they were working on the Switch, here is the translation of his statement.

Switch, I think it’s fine. “The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild” is insanely fun. It’s awful (laugh). Actually, I tried playing with Switch on my own, and my impression has changed a lot from when I was in the development stage. I thought what it would be like to play together outside and inside the house, but I feel there is a reasonable possibility.

First of all, “Zelda” is funny so I carry around myself and I am playing very hard even on airplanes. The main body received by Nintendo was a model with red and blue colors on the controller, but when I carry it around too frequently, my surrounding eyes started to worry and I also released it as a peripheral device I bought a black controller by myself and added it (laugh).

I think that the style of this switch fits very well for competing games. You can play even if you actually gather, you can play online. For example, I think that it seems to be very fascinating and fun to gather at the company’s game lover and do “Mario Kart”, do not you think? Even though I can not say the contents yet, I am making corresponding software.

While the translation is a little strange, you can interpret the meaning in two ways, that they have a single title in development, or they have multiple, given the success that they have had with the DS and 3DS lines, one would hope they are bringing some of their biggest series to the platform.

What series from Level 5 would you like to see brought to Nintendo Switch?

So, I have been gaming since controllers only had two buttons and because I wanted to, I started my own site. Now of course, you can find me writing for Vooks as well
