Lego Star Wars II hits shelves

LucasArts and TT Games today have announced that it has shipped to stores LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, to retailers worldwide. The game which is a whimsical take on the Star Wars franchise and combines the fun and endless customization of LEGO play with a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek take on the epic story, characters and action from the classic Star Wars: Episodes IV, V and VI films. Lego Star Wars is being released on the Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameCube and GameBoy Advance among others and the games from retail from as little as $49.95 for the GameCube version. Although the game has a official date of the 15th, retailers have already begun selling the game.
