There’s a fresh Pokémon GO app update arriving very shortly and while it doesn’t contain an update on the tracking side of things just yet – there’s still another great tool added.
The ‘Pokémon Appraisal’ feature will allow you to learn about your Pokemon’s attack and defense capabilities, also known as their IV or Individual values. Because not all Pokemon are created equally, their CP isn’t a gauge to how powerful they really are. Your team leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) will inform you which of your Pokemon have the best potential for battle, whether that’s an exact figure or a ‘yay go team’ type stat remains to be seen.
The release notes for version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS also talk about how Niantic is working on several new and exciting features for the game as well as ‘Minor bot fixes’. No doubt to clamp down on all those cheaters.
