A game that both sucks and blows. In the good way... no that didn't sound right either.
What would a Valentine’s Day Nintendo Direct be without mention of a pink puffball?
This morning Nintendo gave us some new details about the upcoming 3DS title, Kirby Triple Deluxe. During his presentation, Satoru Iwata reminded us all that as easy as it is to pick up and play a Kirby game, there is always an extra layer of depth to be found within each level.
Kirby’s copy ability is as useful as ever, and players now have some extra control over how they use a particular power-up. Instead of the usual one button to attack method, you have greater control over your new found abilities and can pull off different attacks.
A huge number of collectibles are also present for you to hunt down in each stage. The first collectibles mentioned are ‘8-bit’ keychains and apparently it’s going to be a real challenge to find them all. Also scattered throughout the levels are items called Sunstones, which will help you progress through the game.
If you manage to find them all, there is promise of a special bonus! Streetpass will be a feature in Kirby triple Deluxe as well. Throughout levels you will sometimes come across a special Waddle Dee character. His job is to throw you items in times of need and if you have had a street pass encounter before you come across him you get even better items and possibly even one of the collectible keychains.
Kirby Triple Deluxe is releasing on May 17th in Australia.
