King Dedede set to return for Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS

The happiest looking villian returns.

The ever expanding roster for Super Smash Bros. has grown again, with the announcement that King Dedede will make his return to both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.

Those who are unfamiliar with the hammer wielding, penguin looking creature might be surprised to find out that he is actually the arch nemesis of the pink bloated hero Kirby.

Along with his giant hammer, Dedede has similar moves to Kirby including inhaling opponents and floating in the air.

King Dedede made his first appearance on the fighting roster in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii and the return of this heavyweight is good news for those who like using the bigger characters like Donkey Kong and Bowser.

There is still no confirmed release date for Super Smash Bros. but Nintendo have said the game should drop on both the Wii U and 3DS sometime this year.

Video games are not my forte. I'm not very good at video games. If you walked up to me in the streets and exclaimed “Hey! You suck at video games!” I would not call you a liar. They are, however, one of my favourite things and classic Nintendo titles are what I like best. Sure I haven't finished New Super Mario Bros. U yet and I've had the game since launch, but that doesn't mean I don't get the same fuzzy feelings as you when I play it.
