This Joy-Con compatible Keyboard channels the GameCube

Probably just as useless (for now).

Last month Hori announced a keyboard for the Nintendo Switch, it essentially was just a USB keyboard.

This keyboard takes the idea of a Switch keyboard to its logical conclusion. The keyboard allows you to slot the Joy-Con on each side of the keyboard, it won’t charge it – but it’s more accessible.

The keyboard is intended for the likes of Dragon Quest X for chatting but could be also used on the eShop. It’ll release in Japan at the end of September, a local release isn’t certain – but unlikely considering the niche it fills.

If this keyboard idea seems familiar, a similar concept was done in the early 2000s for Phantasy Star Online for the GameCube.
