The Member of Enfield has only been in the party since 2002, making for quite a change from the veteran Atkinson

So, weve all been wondering who would replace the anti-R18+ former Attorney-General since his shock resignation on Sunday. Retaining SA Premier Mike Rann has now finished redoing his cabinet after the Saturday election, and has chosen John Rau to take the big job.

Raus Labor Party profile shows he is a "keen gardener, cook and avid reader of non-fiction," and that hes married with three kids. Before entering his current politics role in 2002, Rau has been an advisor during the Hawke administration and worked as a solicitor in two firms – one of which he was made a partner.

He hasnt publicly stated any views on the video game rating issue that were aware of, but a tweet by Gamers4Croydon member Chris Prior seems promising. Prior stated that John Rau is a supporter of the proposed R18+ classification, and "a nice guy, to boot." We wish the new Attorney-General all the best in his new role.
