Pokmon fans can now feast their eyes on the new Japanese design for the DS re-makes of Pokmon Gold and Silver

The boxarts have appeared in Japan’s monthly youth manga magazine CoroCoro. The Heart Gold version features Ho-Oh whereas the Soul Silver edition sports Lugia as its mascot. The boxarts are emblazoned with Japanese labeling but it is likely the western versions will retain the same Pokémon and art style. Both designs advertise the inclusion of the Pokémon pedometer.
