Japan Switch shortage continues – queueing by the thousands

Current Switch owners, thank your lucky Power Stars you aren’t trying to buy the console in Japan right now.

Reports are indicating thousands of Japanese wannabe-Switch owners are lining up outside stores in huge numbers in the hope they will take home the Nintendo goodness. However, it is not a first-in-first-served basis. These people are lining up to join a raffle, merely for the random chance, they will be able to purchase a Switch. One of usually no more than 300 units per retailer.

As you can imagine, this would not be an enjoyable endeavour. Have a look at some of the lines below.

With some massive Switch titles still on the way in the near future, the Japanese stockists would want to be meeting the correlating hardware demand.

Hopefully, they have some next week for Splatoon 2 or it’s not going to be pretty.
