Japan Getting Artsy With Pokémon Art Academy in June

Nintendo has confirmed a June 19th release date for Pokémon Art Academy in Japan.

Pokémon Art Academy will include 40 drawing lessons, each focusing on a particular pocket monster.

The game will be released both digitally and at retail, for a retail price of 3619 ¥.

There is no 3D support in the game, however this is understandable for a title all about drawing 2 dimensional images.

There is no confirmation of a release outside Japan as of yet, however given Pokémon’s popularity outside of Japan, we won’t be surprised if Nintendo localises the title for the west.

Seriously doesn’t make sense to not have 3D support. The Letter Box service had it; all it meant was drawing on a second layer.

But then again, with the 2DS being a thing now, I suppose they don’t have to commit to the 3D as hard as they used to.
