Sales for the Nintendo DS in Europe have been pretty terrible lately, though the US and Australia are fine, but Europe and even Japan have been buying less and less DS consoles. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata says that while the Wii has had big-hit titles in the past year, the Nintendo DS hasn’t had any for a while. Iwata says “we recognise that we are coming to the stage where we need to offer a hit title that can gain social phenomena and catch our customers attentions."
Things have been slow on the DS front for a couple of years – 2007 and 2008 saw some huge titles from not only Nintendo but other companies on the DS. Last year, though, Nintendo got a little lazy and were just going with the flow. What does Nintendo have in store? It’s obviously still a concern for them even with the 3DS on the way.

Definitively done with the Wii U now.
Because Gate Rune and Dunan Unification War is too long to fit in a title.
