Iwata reveals no other details, prepare to be surprised and stunned at E3

With new rumours regarding Project Cafe, the Wii successor set to be fully revealed at E3 2011, being churned out daily and the confirmation by Nintendo that the new console will in fact be revealed at E3, gamers have been waiting anxiously for more news from Nintendo. President and CEO of Nintendo Japan Satoru Iwata has finally talked about the new console, even if what he says about is more than a bit ambiguous and totally open to interpretation.

At a news conference yesterday, Iwata said that the new console will “offer a new way of playing games within the home." With the rumours that the controller will have a 6" screen on it, this statement may not be too far off from the truth. “As for the details of exactly what it will be, we have decided that it is best to let people experience it for themselves at E3. So I won’t talk about specific details today, but it will offer a new way of playing games within the home.” So it looks like Nintendo will have an E3 very similar to last years, focusing on hardware that you have to play for yourself to fully appreciate, if what Iwata says is true.

E3 2011 will be held this June, with many gamers hoping that Nintendo will produce an awesome press conference similar to that of last years 3DS filled press conference.
