Iwata not impressed with Apples iPad
Apples latest invention hasnt resonated well with Nintendo President Satoru Iwata
Nintendos CEO has weighed in with his impression of the Apple iPad. In a new interview, Iwata says that the device has failed to surprise and basically is "a bigger iPod Touch". Also on the agenda, Iwata has now denied that a DS with motion sensing is in the works.
Iwata was also asked about upgrading the Wii with HD and stated that he "question[s] whether those features would be enough to get people to buy new machines," in regards not only to HD but a motion-sensing DS. He did admit that Nintendo was working on new machines, but didnt give any details.
Also on the topic of 3D video-gaming, Iwata weighed in by saying that he has "doubts [about] whether people will be wearing glasses to play games at home. How is that going to look to other people?" He said he welcomed the technology in the cinema, however.
Iwatas sentiment about the iPad echoes much of the general reaction to the iPad on the internet.
