Satoru Iwata has talked up the data-transfer capabilities between the Wii and DS, touting the future possibility of videos downloaded via Wii onto your DS to have videos to watch on the go. “”If the Wii and the DS are connected, it should be possible to download video through the Wii and take it with you on the DS Iwata told the Wall Street Journal. More inside It is still early days for video content availability on the Wii which is for the moment limited to Japan. With the BBC in UK looking to make video-on-demand available on the Wii, and rumours abounding movie streaming on the console in the USA, it is likely this is the beginning of a big push by Nintendo to further their market reach beyond games and into distribution of other entertainment.
