In another Nintendo Minute feature on IGN, Nintendo of America’s Denise Kaigler has come out to defend Nintendo’s ‘core’ line-up saying that while everyone has different taste there should be something for everyone.
The question posed was “The holiday Wii line-up looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?”
Kaigler has responded saying that as well as New Super Mario Bros (which appeals to everyone) and Metroid Prime Trilogy, there are also plenty of other third party games on the way.
Third party games such as Dead Space Extraction, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars are on the retail side of things, with downloaders scoring games like Cave Story and Super Meat Boy. This list obviously isnt everything, but she makes a good point.
The only thing wed have to say is that Metroid Prime Trilogy for the majority isnt a new title, but thats semantics.
