Is the Gold Mario amiibo making an Australian comeback?

Released in June, the Gold Edition Mario amiibo was a Target exclusive. Lines were formed, online orders were made, people got it, people missed out. If you were one of those people, now might be your chance.

It appears the golden wonder might be getting another release, retailer Big W is listing the amiibo on it’s website. You can’t buy it yet nor see where it’s in stock but the fact that it’s on the website (and not Target’s) is a good sign.

We’ve done some digging and it appears Target may have only had an timed exclusivity on the Gold Edition Mario amiibo – we’ll attempt to find out more and keep you in the loop.

I really don’t see the appeal of this amiibo. It looks so tacky. The smash Mario is better looking imo.

So annoying. I sat there and tried to order from Target at 8:00am on the dot only to later learn that they opened up sales 10 mins earlier than they said they would and so I missing out. Then thinking that if it was a TARGET EXCLUSIVE it would never resurface again I bought an AU one from Ebay for a hefty price. But I am a collector. Now to discover that another retailer may have it….grrrrrr. First. World. Problem.
