Doom Resurrection which has just hit the Apple App Store was originally a Wii game according to co-founder of id Software, John Carmack. The game is a “guided experience” for the iPhone and not a first person shooter in the typical sense as Doom normally is. The game also uses Doom 3’s assets and engine just downgraded for the portable. According to Carmack “Originally, I was pitched the title as a Wii game — I dropped some hints about this earlier in the year but nothing substantial, in case the game didnt work out or it wasnt fun or something like that”
So now released as an iPhone title, could it we still see the game return to the Wii?
Because Gate Rune and Dunan Unification War is too long to fit in a title.
Predictions time once again.
