This weekend is BitSummit, Japan’s largest independent games festival, and do you know what that means? More indies for the Switch.
Inti Creates has announced that a new Gunvolt game, titled Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX, will be coming exclusively to the Switch in 2018. Luminous Avenger iX is a side story in which you take control of the anti-hero Copen, a character introduced in Azure Striker Gunvolt and playable in its sequel.
Little more is known about the game at this point, but Inti Creates promises to reveal more details this Summer (Winter for us in the Southern Hemisphere). You can see a brief description and teaser trailer below.
Luminous Avenger iX is a new title in the universe of the Gunvolt series, which began with 2014’s Nintendo 3DS eShop title “Azure Striker Gunvolt,” which was followed by 2016’s “Azure Striker Gunvolt 2.” This new title sees Gunvolt series anti-hero “Copen” take the starring role. The Inti Creates team is hard at work on this project centering around this popular character from the Gunvolt universe, and more details are to be announced this summer, so look forward to hearing more info soon!
