Game challenges powerful Maro to push and pull blocks. Exciting!

Intelligent Systems, Nintendo’s legendary dev team responsible for such classics as Paper Mario, Advance Wars and Fire Emblem has announced their 3DS debut title; Hiku-osu. Supposedly the title translates to “push pull”, which makes sense, as the game features a bizarre monkey called Maro who move blocks around, a fairly novel idea for a video game. Isn’t it? Oh well. The downloadable title is coming out next week in Japan, so hopefully we’ll see it over here before too long. Interestingly, the game seems to feature a level editor and it’ll be interesting to see whether the 3DS’s improved online architecture translates into nice online level sharing.

Not that I minded Bangai-O Sprits’ method. Not one bit.
