Hyrule Warriors: Adventure Mode, New Items, Badge System Detailed
Nintendo’s latest Hyrule Warriors Direct has revealed some more information on the separate-from-the-main-campaign Adventure Mode, as well as some new character leveling details. As a bonus? Some new footage of items being used in-game.
Leveling first up, it’s exactly as you’d expect: Kill the bad guys, gain experience points. But with the addition of the badge system, you can further boost weapons, improve combos, and increase the effectiveness of abilities. This gives you a skill-tree sort-of-a setup, a mainstay of the genre.
Weapons shown include both a standard ball-and-chain affair, as well as a more… well, as you can probably see above, it’s a Chain Chomp.
Adventure mode is an interesting affair, allowing the player to explore a grid-based map straight out of the NES era. Each square on the map presents a unique challenge to the player, allowing for more unlocks, items, and maybe even characters to be accessed.

Do you get a completely different Skill Tree (Badge Market screenshot) if you change weapons? Or is that a generic skill tree that encompasses all weapons?
Are Zant and Ghirahim not enemies in the game anymore ?
Their not in the enemy list on the official (Japanese) website anymore :

No, the Badge tree remains the same for each weapon. There’s only slight differences in the structure of the tree depending on the character being used (badges are bought for a single character at a time), and the requirements (Rupees and materials) for unlocking the same badge (for example, the Empty Bottle 1 badge) are different for each character.
