Huge Nintendo Network ID maintenance taking place October 20th

During the morning of October 20th Nintendo will taking all of the Nintendo Network ID services offline for maintenance. Now Nintendo do online service maintenance but taking down all of the Nintendo Network ID services is pretty heavy.

We normally never report on such maintanence, it happens all the time. However, with all the scuttlebutt around at the moment regarding Nintendo’s mobile game, Splatoon upgrades, Club Nintendo’s closure and replacement – we think something is up.

Here’s the official times from Nintendo Australia, this is for AEDT.

to Tuesday, 20 October 2015 1:00 PM.

During the maintenance window, the following services may be unavailable.

• Wii U
  • – Online Play, Rankings etc.

• Nintendo 3DS
  • – Online Play, Rankings etc.
