The Nintendo DSi XL has arrived late into the game but its still selling quite well

There are now 132 million Nintendo DS consoles in the world. That is according to Nintendo of Europe who last night put out a press release announcing that theyll be getting the new Blue, Red and Yellow DSi XL colours. But how many of those 132 million DSes are the large DSi XLs?

That figure is currently sitting at 3.6 million, which isnt too bad for a console thats the same inside as its previous iterations and was only released in late 2009. The DSi XL was released after people complained to Nintendo that the DS and DSi screens were just too small. They responded and its paid off.

Look for the new DSi XL colours heading to Australia on September 23rd.
