Headset looks good at least.

Accessory maker HORI has just announced licenced Splatoon 2 headset for the Nintendo Switch. It looks pretty “on-brand” and will be released the same day as the game in Japan for ¥3480 (~$42AUD).

Here’s a look at the headset;

It’s the other image in the tweet that has us a little perplexed. It’s a diagram showing how the headset will get sound from the game and sound from a smartphone app. It could be Nintendo’s app they’ve promised or something else.

The headset comes with a mixer so you can listen to both the game and your friend’s voices. We’re not sure if this is Nintendo’s solution when it comes to voice chat, but for this HORI headset, it is.
