Hollow Knight’s physical release is back on, this time with a Collector’s Edition
Hollow Knight is once again getting a physical release. In August last
Now in March 2019, it’s back on – this time with the help of Fangamer. The physical release will come in two flavours, a standard edition and a Collectors Edition. The standard edition contains a copy of the game, manual and a fold-out map of Hallownest.
The Collector’s Edition has the same content as the standard edition, a gold collectors box, Hollow Knight brooch and stand, comic book, print set and papercraft set if you preorder it. The Switch version also has a cleaning cloth. The Switch version of both the standard and collector’s edition is a little more expensive due to the Switch tax cartridge.
So far the game is only available through
I’ve never gotten anything through Fangamer before; what’s the experience like, for those that have?
Quite smooth. I ordered Undertale and a Flip-Grip through them, and it arrived well packaged and in a reasonable amount of time, and as it was quite a small package, postage wasn’t ridiculously expensive.
I’ve ordered from them a couple of times and everything’s been really high quality – a few years ago I bought the Field Guide to Kanto as a gift for somebody and it was really well made, and I bought a t-shirt that was also great. The only thing is the shipping time, since it’s coming from the U.S., but it didn’t take longer than the estimate on the website. Hope that helps!
I’m glad this one is getting a release again. With Celeste and Undertake physical and now this, I have my main indie games covered. I missed out on Golf Story though unfortunately 🙁
I bought Undertale physical collector’s edition via Fangamer and they were a breeze to deal with (despite the sad US dollar conversion rate). This one is tempting…
