Its still in the early stages, but hardware tests have been “very good”

Conduit 2 for Wii is on the horizon and developer High Voltage is already exploring the possibility of bringing the FPS series to the 3DS.

Eric Nofsinger, High Voltage’s chief creative officer, commented on their progress. "We’ve got environments from this already up and running around. You can shoot, you can select different weapons and you can see enemies. It runs pretty darn well with full 3D and everything."

"We’re still early [in development]… but we’re going to be able to have something very close to this [Conduit 2] on the 3DS probably by GDC," continues Nofsinger (GDC begins on February 28). Whether that means we’ll see a new Conduit game or an entirely new FPS is unclear, but Nofsinger is very excited about the game. "There’s nothing like it at all. We can be a shining star on this."
