The first Virtual Console hack eliminating the DRM, a feature that protects it from copying, has recently been released to select private groups, with a public release allegedly soon to follow. While this is a step forward for the development of custom channels and other homebrew, the piracy implications will no doubt cause Nintendo to step in and put a lock on this issue as soon as possible.
