Guitar Hero 5 track list, new Wii details revealed
The next Guitar Hero on Wii wont be a slouch with all the same features as its HD console cousins and more
Vicarious Visions are near gods on the DS and Wii, they are one of the few American developers really pushing what the Wii can do. With Guitar Hero 5 they’re not slowing down either with a bunch of new features in the game and some of them are even exclusive.
In a massive information blowout on IGN, Vicarious Visions have revealed some interesting information about Guitar Hero 5 on the Wii. First up it’ll be getting the Party Play modes new to franchise, it’ll allow you to drop in and out of the action at any point with any instrument. Mii Freestyle will return and is exclusive in the Wii version.
Online is also getting kicked up a notch with 8 player support. That’s not just 2 Wii consoles with 4 players versus each other, it can be up to 8 Wii’s with each person one instrument. That sounds cool right? But what about those pesky friend codes, surely they’ll make that process harder then it needs to be? Well no, Guitar Hero 5 has no friend codes for the game instead relying on the friend codes already in your system. Also with downloadable content like World Tour you’ll be able to save directly to the SD card.
One final addition is DS Connectivity. You won’t be able to rock our with your Guitar Grip as a substitute for a full size guitar but you will be able to create music videos and manage your Mii’s in the Mii Freestyle mode. Neat.
