In an interview with Swedish site Aftonbladet.se, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said that the company’s Assassin’s Creed project for the Wii U isn’t Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Instead it’s something "for the future", as Guillemot put it. The tight-lipped CEO refused to say whether the Wii U game will actually be Assassin’s Creed III, or even a spin-off from the main series. Guillemot’s comments don’t altogether rule out the chance of a Revelations port in the future future, though.

This news comes after lead writer of Revelations, Darby McDevitt, revealed the 3DS-exclusive Assassin’s Creed: Lost Legacy was cancelled as it was decided that concepts from the game would be ported over to Revelations.
