Guardians of the Galaxy trailered and confirmed for Disney Infinity 2.0

The whole team joins Disney's ever evolving platform.

With the new Marvel Studios film coming out very soon, it’s no surprise that Guardians of the Galaxy would be getting the Disney Infinity treatment. What’s even better, they’re not just figurines that are relegated to the Toy Box mode either, but they even include their own missions too! They join recently announced Avengers and even Maleficent too.

Coming to the game as a play-set, Guardians of the Galaxy will see players join the team in a space adventure to defend Knowhere against Ronan The Accuser and his army of Sakaarans. The play-set, which includes the new missions, will come with Star-Lord and Gamora. Enthusiastic fans of the team can purchase Rocket (Raccoon), Drax and Groot.

The reveal and trailer follows a much publicised leak where American retailer WalMart accidently published details of the obscure team coming to the game, even revealing the figurines in the process: –

There’s no confirmed release date for the play-set just yet, but we’ve attached the trailer for the play-set below.

Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes is launching some time in September this year on Wii U. When we know more details about the game (and this play-set’s) release, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
