Gigantamax Snorlax snoozes its way into Pokémon Sword and Shield next week

Pokémon Sword and Shield have been out for a couple of weeks now, and in case you missed our review, they’re excellent. One of the best parts of the game is taking on Max Raid battles with friends, and soon, those raid battles are going to have a familiar new face.

The Pokémon Company has officially revealed Gigantamax Snorlax, and boy, it is an absolute unit. Just take a look.

Gigantamax Snorlax is not currently available in the game, but for a short time soon, it will be. Players who log in between the 4th of December and “early January” and connect to the internet will be able to encounter Gigantamax Snorlax in Max Raid battles. It is currently not known if it will be made available after this date, so be sure to play during this time and nab yourself this titan.
