Get SteamWorld Dig discounted on Wii U if you own the 3DS version

While owners of the 3DS version of Squids Oddysey got a free copy of the Wii U version, ‘cross-buy’ is still not yet a thing on Nintendo systems.

With Image&Form’s SteamWorld Dig launching on the Wii U on next week the team were keen to try and get something in place for people who had already bought the game.

If you already own the Nintendo 3DS eShop version of SteamWorld Dig then you’ll be able to get a 25% discount on the game on the Wii U. This promotion only applies to the Australian, European and New Zealand eShops. The American eShop doesn’t have this system available just yet so they miss out.

The discount should bring the game down to around $7, which is a fantastic price for a fantastic game.

SteamWorld Dig launches on the Wii U on August 28th.
