One of the coolest new features about the New Nintendo 3DS is the cover plates available, at least for the smaller model.
For the longest time if you wanted to ‘mod’ your 3DS you had to either cover it in stickers, a case or just keep buying new models. Now you can just easily switch out your cover plate on the top and bottom of the system for a whole new look. The plates range from anywhere from $10 to near $18.
The plate packaging is also multilingual, hopefully that means some of the more exotic Japanese looking ones will make it to the west.
Amazon.co.jp has posted the full range of cover plates that will be available in Japan on launch, ours whenever we do get it will likely be different but have a look anyway and let us know which one you’d buy if you could.
See how much you did, or didn't play things.
From Mario to Zelda, to Splatoon to Donkey Kong. Everything on Nintendo Music.
