The Nintendo 3DS’s eShop won’t launch until late May, but Nintendo is already promising that more systems games will be available on the service. During Iwata’s Keynote at GDC this morning, it was revealed that both Sega’s Game Gear and Hudson’s TurboGrafx-16 titles will be on the Nintendo eShop which was again confirmed for a late May launch.
Sega will have 5 titles up from the Game Gear on day one when the shop goes live, no word on what or how many TurboGrafx-16 will be available.
Along with these Game Gear and TurboGrafx-16 systems, games from the Gameboy and Gameboy Color will also be available. Also joining the eShop fun is the entire DSiWare library, the ability to transfer DSiWare titles and classic games redone in 3D. Previously games like Xevious and Yoshi’s Island have been demoed in this manner, but no titles have been confirmed outside of Xevious.
Get in quick, they go fast.
