New Mario game to be shown off fully at E3 2011

This morning at the Game Developers Conference 2011 during Satoru Iwata’s keynote he revealed a brand new Mario game coming to the Nintendo 3DS. There were 4 screenshots shown off and a ‘temporary’ logo for the game.

Satoru Iwata spoke to the audience about how Mr Miyamoto was elated that finally, in 3D, players could properly judge how to jump and hit a block in the game. A problem 3D Mario games have had since 1996. The game is being developed currently by the Super Mario Galaxy team. The logo also points to the return of the Tanooki Suit.

More about this new Mario game will be revealed at E3 2011.
