With the downfall of E3, more smaller events are taking place all around to world to fill the void. Three such shows are making their way to Australia. Along with the Go3 expo in Perth that we reported about last week, the eGames and Entertainment Expo is to be held in November and the Game1 Electronic Gaming Expo and Tournament is set to run during November and December as well. The most interesting thing about these events is that the Wii will be playable to the general public. Keep reading to find out more! The eGame Expo is set to run from November 17 to 19 and includes game demos, keynotes, gaming tournaments which has been dubbed eSport as well the first Australian Video Game Awards. The event is being held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Game1 is being run in two states. The first event is also set to take place at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on November 4th and 5th, then a month later in Sydney at the same time as the Auto Salon expo which is on during December 2nd and 3rd at the Sydney Showground Olympic Park.

The best thing about both events is that Nintendo Australia will support both, meaning Wii will be playable at both events. Hopefully this means the console is out by then or some time soon after. Microsoft will also be in attendance; Sony has still not decided.

Thanks to Jason Hills blog for bringing this to our attention.
