Games announced for Switch this week – 20/08 – 26/08
What a week, Gamescom came and delivered a heap of news across the board and we got a lot of games announced for Switch. We got word that Saints Row: The Third is coming in March of 2019, long requested A Hat in Time is finally making its way over, some classic RPG goodness in Grandia 1 & 2 is heading our way and the Indie Highlight announced games like Windjammers 2, Everspace, Slay the Spire and many more, are coming to Switch. But even with all of that, there were still more announced, so here we go.
Shadowgun War Games
Madfinger Games is going to bring their next title to Switch. Players will join a team and using skill and teamwork, work together to achieve victory. The game will release with the Capture the Flag mode, where the player will jump into the match as a hero from Shadowgun lore. Each hero from the ever-growing gallery will come with their own particular set of skills and weapons and team cooperation will be essential for success. First mode introduced in the game will set the teams.
Unto The End
Unto The End is a 2D cinematic combat-adventure, featuring a nuanced combat system and handcrafted encounters, which follows a father’s journey through an unforgiving wilderness to get back to his family. Players will need to read, react and counter enemy attacks, strike tactically with range weapons, and use opponents against each other as you fight in one-on-one and group battles.
Blacksad Under The Skin
BLACKSAD: Under the Skin will give players a chance to discover the unique 1950s New York ambiance created by Pendulo Studios, where private detective John Blacksad will conduct a new investigation. In 1950s New York, the owner of an unassuming boxing club, Joe Dunn, is found hanged. At the same time, his protégé and best hope, Robert Yale, is declared missing. Devastated by this terrible news, Joe Dunn’s daughter, Sonia, decides to continue her father’s dream regardless. She takes over the reins of the club and hires John Blacksad to investigate the mysterious disappearance. The fight of the year is just around the corner and the club, in dire financial straits, will not survive if Robert Yale doesn’t turn up. During his investigation, John Blacksad will find himself plunged into a world of rampant corruption.
