Another week and another round of games announced for Switch, who would have thought that the little machine from Nintendo would be so darn popular. There have been a few high profile announcements, like DOOM Eternal, Scribblenauts Mega Pack, Child of Light and Valiant Hearts, Windjammers and Storm Boy Just like last week, we have highlighted 3 games we think are really worthy of your attention, with the rest listed down the bottom, so without any further delay here they are.
Super Crush KO is a fast-paced brawler / shoot-em-up hybrid set in a vibrant, near-future city. Take control of the neon-wearing, robot-stomping, stylish-as-heck hero we all need and save humanity from an AI apocalypse. Punch your way through waves of bots, launch them into the air and blast them out of the sky, all chained together in massive, awesome combos. This is being made by the same studio as Graceful Explosion Machine, which might help you explain why it looks similar at times.
Detective Gallo is a point&click comic-noir adventure that is entirely hand-illustrated and hand-animated, and whose protagonist is a feathered and grumpy private eye struggling with a very tricky case, bizarre characters, and puzzles that will put his insight and patience to the test. Perhaps the most interesting part of this, is that the game is set to release next week.
In Defunct, players take the role of a broken robot that accidentally falls out of a giant cargo ship onto a post-human Earth, now inhabited by robots. The robot has to hurry back to the ship before it’s too late. It is equipped with a “gravitize” engine, which allows players to gain momentum. By using this engine and a range of energy boosts found along the way, players can get maximum flow and speed and dash through different landscapes ranging from jungles to deserts.
Get in quick, they go fast.
